Chief Development and Strategic Planning Officer with Piedmont Healthcare
Jack Tillman is Chief Development and Strategic Planning Officer with Piedmont Healthcare, Georgia’s largest health system. Piedmont is known as a leading system in cancer care, treatment of heart disease and organ transplantation with 25 hospitals, 74 urgent care centers, 25 Piedmont QuickCare locations, 1,875 Piedmont Clinic physician practice locations and nearly 3,500 Piedmont Clinic members.
Jack oversees patient connection, strategic planning, corporate development, real estate, planning, design, construction, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development and enterprise growth for Piedmont. His work is focused on expanding Piedmont’s capacity for growth, strengthening telephonic and physical access for patients, and accelerating strategic growth within Piedmont’s statewide clinically integrated network organized from hubs in Atlanta, Athens, Augusta, Macon and Columbus.
Jack represents Piedmont’s investment interests in a series of joint ventures including public company, private equity, and physician partnerships in real estate ventures with various developers, in comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation hospitals with Encompass Health, urgent care centers with WellStreet, retail imaging centers with Outpatient Imaging Affiliates, and multi and single specialty ambulatory surgical centers with physicians across Piedmont’s communities.
Prior to Piedmont, Jack was Co‐Founder and Managing Director of business advisory firm Mandl & Co. where he and his partner built a novel asset management and strategic development practice for higher education and healthcare clients across North America. Earlier in his career, he held executive roles in corporate development, real estate, and research enterprise strategy and innovation with Emory University and Emory Healthcare, as well as real estate and capital markets management work with a private operating foundation, and as a health industries management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.
Jack earned an MBA in Corporate Finance from Goizueta Business School at Emory University and holds a BA in Economics from University of Colorado, Boulder. He and his family reside in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.
