Vice President- Construction, Real Estate & Facilities
Kelly currently serves as vice president of construction, real estate, and facilities for UPMC, one of the largest integrated Health Care organizations in the US and a global leader in groundbreaking research, treatments and clinical care. She provides overall strategic direction the system and manages a $1B+ annual capital budget. Her team consists of 2000+ members and a portfolio of over 40 million SF, 42 hospitals, 800 sites of care, and senior communities in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York. Her scope also includes international work with projects in Italy, Ireland, and Croatia. She has spent her career leading all phases of life science, data center and healthcare projects from development, design and engineering, construction, and operations. Her unique experience helps ensure each project aligns with strategic priorities, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability.
Kelly received her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (RHIT) in 2002 and her MBA at the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2019.
Kelly serves as a member of the RHIT Board of Trustees and has also served several terms on the Alumni Advisory Board, including two years as President. Additionally, she serves on the Board for Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, Hello Neighbor which helps recently resettled refugee and immigrant families, RIDC that focuses on transforming underutilized real estate into centers of economic activity, Module a design-build company that builds right-sized, energy efficient houses using prefab construction, Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, the national advisory board of Women in Healthcare and is chairing the 2025 March Of Dimes Transportation, Building and Construction Awards.
