Company will provide the medical real estate sector’s only free to access online archive of MOBs and other healthcare properties, as well as healthcare real estate statistics and resources, regional and local market reports, and strategic networking events.
Hospitals, health systems and physician practices have never faced greater pressure to deliver high-quality, efficient, cost-effective healthcare as they do today. And while facilities play a crucial role in achieving those goals, informed decision-making has been hindered by the lack of comprehensive national data about medical real estate, including such basic facts as location, size, hospital and health system affiliation, and proximity to a hospital.
Now, Maryland-based Revista has the solution. Revista will be offering the industry’s only free to access property-level database of all U.S. medical real estate, as well as healthcare industry statistics and resources, metro and regional market reports, and a directory of industry product and service providers. Revista will also hold high-level, strategic networking and educational events, including in-person seminars, conferences and webcasts with industry-specific, data-based subject matter and experts.
“Medical office has become a dynamic real estate sector that is just starting to attract the interest of the broader real estate investment community,” says Scott D. Peters, Chairman, President and CEO of Healthcare Trust of America Inc., which is a Founding Diamond Partner with Revista. “We believe that the increased transparency and analytical tools that Revista is building will provide specific insight into these powerful trends that will benefit both investors and providers.”
“We are excited about our partnership with Revista,” says Daniel M. Klein, Senior Vice President, Medical Facilities Group with Health Care REIT, which is a Founding Emerald Partner with Revista. “We share their vision of improving the availability of medical real estate data and information to ultimately facilitate a better-equipped industry that is ready to meet the country’s growing demand for healthcare real estate and, as a result, improve health care delivery. We look forward to collaborating with Revista’s well-established team through participation in the advisory board, events and in the presentation of these key resources to the industry.”
First regional database will be unveiled next month.
Revista will hold a launch event introducing the Northeast medical property database in late May, will roll out the remaining regional industry information during the next several months, and will hold a national launch event in late fall. Access to the one-stop online resource will be free and easy to use. With a simple registration and log-in, and a highly specialized interface, users will be able to filter and customize the search results in a variety of ways. All of these resources are provided in collaboration with Revista’s healthcare real estate industry partners and sponsors.
Revista’s resources are being designed for a wide range of potential users, including health systems and hospitals; physician group practices; healthcare executives; real estate brokers; property owners, managers and investors; advisory firms, investment banks and underwriters; equity research analysts; academic and government researchers; merger and acquisition firms; development/construction firms; architecture firms; and legal firms.
In addition to Mr. Peters of HTA and Mr. Klein of Health Care REIT, Revista’s advisory board includes Sam Chandan, President & Chief Economist, Chandan Economics, and a Professor in the Associated Faculty of Real Estate, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
