Trammell Crow adjusts plans for medical office building at proposed McMillan project

Trammel Crow is the developer on a proposed medical office building to be contained within the McMillan mixed use project of Washington DC. The project, still in planning and yet to clear key approvals, is located along Michigan Avenue between North Capitol and 1st Streets, NW. The site is very close to Children’s National Medical Center and MedStar’s Washington Hospital Center. See link to project website http://envisionmcmillan.com/. Trammel Crow recently adjusted plans for the MOB by shaving off one floor to address concerns among the Zoning Commission. There is not a current timetable for the project to move forward.

Construction starts on new 5 story retail building and MOB in Midtown Detroit

Developers broke ground this week on a new 5-story, $68 million retail and medical office building project and parking structure in the rapidly developing Midtown Detroit. The 153,000 square foot building with 650 parking spaces will be anchored by Wayne State University Physician Group. The ground floor will contain retail while the top 4 floors will be medical offices. The project is being developed by the Ferchill Group of Cleveland, OH.  Here is a link to the project on Revista.

HCP plans 200,000 square foot medical office building in Fort Worth

Long Beach, CA based HCP REIT has plans to buy an aging assisted living tower on Fort Worth’s south side and to convert the property into a mixed use project. The project is valued at $108.7 million and includes a 6-story mixed retail/apartment building, a 7 level garage and a 10 story, 200,000 square foot medical office building. Here is a link to a news article on the project.
