Revista Welcomes Two New Advisory Board Members

February 1, 2016 by Elisa Freeman Topics: Revista News

We are happy to announce that two additional industry experts have joined our distinguished Advisory Board – Kevin Kirn, Vice President – Business Development for Welltower (formerly Health Care REIT) and Scott F. Selig, Associate Vice President for Capital Assets and Real Estate for Duke University & Duke University Health System.

Mr. Kirn serves as Vice President of the Outpatient Medical Group with Welltower. He assists in the development and execution of the Outpatient Medical Group’s investment strategy. He is also responsible for sourcing and managing strategic relationships with leading health care providers, physician groups, academic medical centers, developers and brokers throughout the investment process. Mr. Kirn has spent 30 years as a commercial real estate executive with responsibilities including development, construction project management, operations, leasing and financing. He has advised numerous Fortune 500 firms on their real estate programs and was a founding member of CBRE’s Health Care Advisory Group.

Mr. Selig became the Associate Vice President of Capital Assets and Real Estate at Duke University in Fall 2001. His professional career includes over 30 years experience in many facets of the commercial real estate industry including brokerage, property management and development.  He is charged with developing the overall real estate strategy for Duke University and the Duke University Health System, the asset management of the 271-room Washington Duke Inn, and the acquisition and disposition of Duke Forest land.  The portfolio contains more than 250 leases encompassing approximately 3 million square feet of office, medical clinic, laboratory and warehouse space. The Duke Forest is comprised of approximately 7,000 acres in the Research Triangle area. Mr. Selig’s role takes him to China on a regular basis, where he is responsible for the implementation of facility management and operations for the new university campus in Kunshan, China. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Washington in 1984, with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.  He earned his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in 1992.

We look forward to working with both of these gentlemen throughout the coming years!
