Medical Real Estate Sector Posts Record Volume in 2017

Revista has posted its 2017 Year End Transactions Reports for subscribers to its data service. By most accounts, 2017 was a record year for the sector in terms of transaction volume. Overall, $21.8B worth of hospital and medical office real estate traded hands in 2017. This was up 13% overall from 2016’s figure of $19.3B. Driving the volume increase was the medical office (MOB) sector. $15.7B Worth of real estate traded across the MOB sector in 2017 which was up 31% from $12.0B in 2016. The hospital real estate sector saw transaction volume dip in 2017 to $6.1B from $7.3B in 2016.
